Student Athlete Tests Positive For COVID-19 And Calhoun Conservation Forced To Close Amenities

There were two area COVID-19-related announcements in the region this weekend. The IKM-Manning Community School administration has released a notice that the entire baseball team is to be quarantined until Monday, July 6 following a positive test result from one of their student athletes. They say they have been working with Carroll County Public Health on the contact tracing efforts and in identifying the guidelines that need to be taken to help ensure the health and safety of all. Calhoun County Conservation has also taken the precaution of closing restrooms and shower houses at Treman Park and Featherstone Campground, both on North Twin Lake. This is in response to a report of a positive Covid-19 case at Featherstone Campground. As of Monday morning, Carroll County has a reported 79 positive cases with 57 of those listed as recovered. Crawford County has risen to 663 positive cases while Guthrie is at 64, Sac at 60, Calhoun 43, Greene 28 and Audubon 17.
