With City Approval, Residential And Water Improvement Projects In Carroll Will Soon Be Underway

The City of Carroll has recently granted their approval to a couple of projects, one for added residential properties and another for water service enhancements. City Manager, Mike Pogge-Weaver, says 704 Development Corporation has presented a final plat for the Rolling Hills South Condominiums that shows it will encompass 2.63 acres of land between U.S. Highway 71 and Meadow Lane.

Pogge-Weaver also described the layout.

Director of Public Works, Randy Krauel, says the Union Pacific Railroad has submitted a proposed agreement for the city’s water distribution main improvements.

As part of this agreement, the city will be responsible for a license fee of $22,800. Krauel says the Union Pacific requires that an independent contractor do an inspection and supply flagging services for the project. The city is also hopeful they will be able to have the concrete on the bike path along Carroll Street finished at the same time the water main work is completed.
