For the second time this week, the Iowa Department of Human Services has announced food assistance clients in the state will temporarily be unable to use their benefits due to system maintenance. State officials say EBT cards will be inoperable starting at 10 p.m. tonight (Wednesday), July 1 and will be offline for approximately eight hours. Cards are expected to begin functioning again at 6 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday), July 2. Individuals with questions or concerns about this maintenance are encouraged to call DHS directly at 1-800-359-5802.
