A Greene County Sheriff’s Office vehicle suffered about $1,000 worth of damages in a backing accident last Thursday. The Jefferson Police Department responded to the scene in the 100 block of East Monroe Street at approximately 10 a.m. Tasheena Sebourne of Jefferson was backing a 2015 Dodge Caravan from a parking spot when she struck a passing vehicle. The 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe, that was owned by the Sheriff’s Office, was being driven by Cole Crowder of Jefferson. The Sebourne vehicle had a reported $800 in damages and there were no injuries reported. Sebourne was cited for unsafe backing.
