Jefferson Matters: Main Street And Jefferson Area Chamber Of Commerce Merging With New Executive Director

Jefferson Matters: Main Street and the Jefferson Area Chamber of Commerce have merged their organizations and announced the hiring of a new Executive Director. Reegan Hanigan began her new position with the organization this week and President of Jefferson Matters: Main Street, Jamie Daubendiek, says they were very impressed with Hanigan’s background, experience and ties to Greene County. “Our recent retired director, Peg Raney, has done a great job getting passionate people involved in our program and we look forward to continuing that success through Reegan’s leadership,” Daubendiek says. “Reegan has a different skill set and will play an instrumental part as the two organizations come together to become stronger for the future success of our community.” Hanigan, who graduated from Iowa State University with a double major, owns two businesses: The Hanigan Company, LLC and Hanigan Land & Cattle. She is originally from Greene County and striving to fulfill a dream of making a difference in the community and helping to “make Jefferson all that it can be.”
