It was a tough night defensively on Pink Out night for the Raiders as they had 9 errors which allowed 9 unearned runs. The loss drops them to 6-8 on the season as they wrap up the regular season at GTRA on Friday.
The Falcons did a nice job of taking advantage of the Raiders miscues using 4 errors in the 6th inning to score 4 runs and break open a tight game. The Raiders trailed 6-5 heading into the 6th. OA-BCIG scored 3 runs on 2 errors in the 2nd added 2 runs on an error in the 4th and a run on an error in the 5th. Elle Schroeder had 3 of the teams 8 hits. The Raiders finished with 9 errors allowing just 1 earned run.
The Raiders picked up 10 hits and were led by Mariah Friedrichsen had 3 singles while driving in 2 RBI and scored twice. Meredith Brown added a pair of hits including a double. Maci Gustavson doubled and drove in 2 runs.
East Sac scored 2 runs in the 2nd and added 3 more in the 3rd to lead 5-3. In the 7th they scored twice to make it 10-7 and had runners on 2nd and 3rd when the game ended.

These two teams met a couple weeks ago on a Saturday morning in Glidden and the Knights squeezed out a 4-2 win. Thursday Kuemper got the bats rolling pushing 6 runs across the plate in the 2nd inning to take a 7-1 lead. The Wildcats did out hit Kuemper 10-9 but they could only muster two runs against Chloe Venteicher. The win moves Kuemper to 8-9 on the season while Glidden Ralston falls to 4-8.
Venteicher pitched all 6 innings and gave up 2 hits while striking out 7 but only allowed 2 earned runs. Hailey Ostrander and Kyndal Hilgenberg both doubled and had 2 RBI. Ostrander finished the night with a pair of hits and scored 3 times. Kenzie Schon and Kenadee Loew also picked up 2 hits for the Knights.
Talia Schon had a home run as one of her two hits for Glidden Ralston. Macy Snyder and Kim Daily also added a pair of hits for the Wildcats, Glidden Ralston scored their runs in the 2nd and 5th innings.
Kuemper will play Carroll High on Friday night on KIKD 106.7 and Glidden Ralston will open their playoffs with a home game Monday against Ar-We-Va on 1380 AM/95.1 FM KCIM.

The Titans closed out the regular season with a win and one of their best performances since early in the season. South Central Calhoun had 12 hits, helping them score 3-runs in the 1st and 4 more in the 3rd. The 3rd inning was huge because Manson NW Webster had just scored 3-runs in the top half. The answer in the bottom half gave them the momentum back.
Sally Musselman was one of 4 players with a pair of hits for the Titans. She also went 7 innings in the circle giving up just 4 hits and 3 runs while striking out 4. Hallee Maulsby, Kortney Riley and Sayer Steig also had 2 hits each. Emma Geno added 2 RBI and Olivia Toms stole a pair of bases and scored 3 runs.
The win moved South Central Calhoun to 4-10 on the season. They host East Sac on KIKD 106.7 on Monday in the 1st round of the playoffs.

Leah Subbert and Hannah Thygesen collected the hits for the Wheelers. They were the only base runners for Audubon.
The Wheelers will host Coon Rapids Bayard on 93.7 KKRL on Monday in the 1st round of the playoffs.
