Authorities Searching For Driver That Fled From Serious Injury Accident Scene

Authorities are searching for the driver of a sedan who left the scene of a serious accident Sunday evening. The Iowa State Patrol reports they responded to 20^th Street and 4^th Avenue in Denison at approximately 7:21 p.m. Thirty-seven-year-old Nathaniel Short of Denison was reportedly driving a 2019 Suzuki motorcycle northbound on 20^th Street at a high rate of speed. An unidentified sedan pulled onto 20^th Street from 4^th Avenue in front of the motorcycle, which struck the back of the car. Short was ejected and the sedan left the scene. Short suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to an Omaha, Neb. hospital.
