Betty Marie Beidler Morris of Lake City

Betty Marie Beidler Morris passed away at the age of 90 on July 12, 2020, in Lake City, Iowa.  Private graveside services are planned at Evergreen Cemetery, Lohrville, Iowa.  Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City is assisting the family.
Betty was born to William Beidler Sr. and Golda Caywood Beidler on February 28, 1930, in Carroll, Iowa.  She was the oldest of five children.  She attended a one room country school in Carroll County and later graduated from Carroll High School in 1948.  After high school, she worked as a secretary in Carroll until she married Dick Morris on September 4, 1949, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lidderdale, Iowa.
Dick and Betty began farming near Lohrville, Iowa, and raised their family.  They had three children, Joen, Eugene, and Jolene.  Betty was a devoted farm wife who loved to cook.  She prepared meals for the farm hands and took lunch to the fields during harvest.  Her tri-level brownies were and still are famous in the area.
She was a member of the Lohrville Methodist Church, The Order of Eastern Star, card clubs, and art clubs.  Betty soon became well known as a local artist and entered her work in art shows in the region, and sold prints at art shows in Arizona where she and Dick wintered.  When she and Dick retired, they moved to Lake Panorama where they enjoyed golf, boating, fishing, and entertaining.
Betty loved making friends.  Her silly disposition and loving nature will be missed by her family and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Golda and Bill Beidler, her husband, Dick Morris, and her two brothers, Billy Beidler and Dale Beidler.
She is survived by her children Joen Larson (Duane), Eugene Morris (Melissa) and Jolene Morris (Bill); her grandchildren Travis Blanchfield (Traci), Jenna Ries (Justin), Emily Behrens (Sam), Andrew Morris (Amanda), Abby Behrens (Tony), Matthew Morris, Jim Berger (Julie), Debbie Hooper, Jennifer Hall (Ben), Kaylene Berger, Alle Morris; her great-grandchildren Allyssa Blanchfield, Tyson Blanchfield, Kelsea Camp, Kaden Burzlaff, Kyler Ries, Max Behrens, Macy Behrens, Owen Behrens, Fiona Morris, Hadley Behrens, Mya Behrens, Kaleb Berger, Bre Green, Lana Hooper, Kara Hooper, Dixon Hooper, Dylan Hall, Aiden Hall, Ava Hall; and great-great grandchild Bowie Brown; her sister Pam Borst, her brother Don Beidler (Jane), and Doris Ruth Pugh, sister-in-law.  She was a much loved Aunt with many nieces and nephews.
