Tigers had the tying run at 2^nd base in the 7^th inning but weren’t able to push the run across the plate. They had to battle back to get to that point after giving up 5-runs in the top of 1^st. The Monarchs seemed to have an answer ever time Carroll scored. The Tigers scored 2 in the 3^rd and Denison Schleswig answered with 2 in the 4^th. Carroll scored 3 in the 4^th and 5^th and the Monarchs answered with 2 in the 5^th.

Slade Sibenaller had a two run home run in the 3^rd inning to pull Carroll within 6-3. Ty Nissen added a 2-run single in the 4^th. Luke Woosley and Jack Troutman both had RBI singles in the 5^th. Alex Loew took the loss giving up 1 earned run in 2 1/3 innings. Loew allowed just 5 hits.

Carroll struggled on defense with 3 errors that led to 7 unearned runs.

The loss drops Carroll to 7-11 as they wrap up the regular season at home against Fort Dodge on Tuesday.
