A Carroll man reportedly suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident early Thursday morning. The Iowa State Patrol reports they responded to the scene on U.S. Highway 71, about four miles south of Carroll, at approximately 6:22 a.m. Fifty-five-year-old Michael O’Hara Sherrod of Carroll was northbound on 71 in a 2004 Volkswagen Passat when he crossed the center line. He struck a southbound 2018 Dodge Ram 2500, driven by 33-year-old Daniel W. LaClair of Chateaugay, New York. LaClair and his two passengers were uninjured in the incident. The region was enveloped in dense fog at the time of the accident.
