Since last Thursday, the positive COVID-19 case counts in Carroll County rose by seven to reach 132 by early this (Monday) morning. Of these, 113 have been classified as recovered. In the region, Crawford County is reporting a total of 688 positive cases, Guthrie is now in the triple digits with 100, Sac has 73, Calhoun 68, Greene 37 and Audubon 21. Statewide positive counts are at 38,813 with 793 coronavirus-related deaths and 27,947 cases considered recovered. Statewide, the age demographic of the majority of positive cases is 18 to 40 year olds, representing 49 percent. In Carroll County, that age group has a recorded 36 percent of all positive cases since recording began with the 41 to 60 year olds at 29 percent.
