No injuries but major damage was reported following a Friday morning accident northeast of Carroll. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded at approximately 8:35 a.m. to the intersection of Noble Avenue and 180th Street. The initial investigation revealed that 44-year-old Jennifer Amy Kennedy was southbound on Noble Avenue in a 2007 Nissan Murano. At the same time, 33-year-old Jessica May Asmus of Lake City was at the posted stop sign facing eastbound in a 2013 Chrysler 200 when she pulled into the intersection and in front of the Kennedy vehicle. The Chrysler was struck in the rear driver’s side quarter panel and the car was pushed into a field. There was an estimated $10,000 in damage to the Asmus vehicle and $8,000 in damages to the Kennedy vehicle. The Sheriff’s Office reports another serious accident occurred on Sunday night.
