A Carroll woman was arrested in Jefferson on simple misdemeanor charges early Saturday morning. The Jefferson Police Department was called to the 900 block of West Lincoln Way on the report of an intoxicated woman loudly screaming outside a residence. A male neighbor had heard the commotion and gone over to see if he could be of assistance, but 40-year-old Shanna Lee Herrera allegedly assaulted the neighbor before officers arrived. Herrera was taken into custody on charges of disorderly conduct—fighting and assault, simple misdemeanors.
