One Carroll Youth Baseball League Canceled After Positive COVID-19 Test

A Carroll youth baseball league has been cut short by a positive COVID-19 test result. The City of Carroll and the Parks and Recreation Department say they were notified Monday of the infected individual in the 3rd and 4th grade boy’s baseball league. After consulting with Carroll County Public Health, the city determined the best course of action was to cancel the remainder of the season for the 3rd and 4th grade boy’s league. However, all other baseball and softball teams will continue with the season that ends this week, on July 30. The Parks and Rec department will be issuing $10 credits into the accounts of the registered players impacted. Anyone who has questions is encouraged to contact Rec Center Program Specialist, Grant Magill, or Parks and Rec Director, Jack Wardell, at 792-5400.
