United States Senator, Chuck Grassley, has announced staff office hours for Calhoun County. Grassley’s Regional Director, Jacob Bossman, who is based out of Sioux City, will be holding the traveling office hours next week for Iowans seeking assistance on personal issues with a federal agency. The state offices help constituents with Social Security payments, military service matters, immigration cases and more. Those who wish to share a concern on a federal matter are also invited to stop in during the scheduled hour, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4 at the Pomeroy Community Building in Pomeroy. The meetings will follow recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the state of Iowa. Participants are encouraged to wear a face mask or covering and are required to follow physical distancing guidelines. Grassley will not be in attendance. “My top priority is serving the people of Iowa. Traveling office hours is one way of doing that,” Grassley says. “My staff helps Iowans with issues they may have with the federal government, and I hope anyone experiencing problems will use this resource.”
