A Carroll man suffered only minor injuries in a rollover accident Tuesday morning. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene on 200th Street near Ivy Avenue, southwest of Carroll, at approximately 7:17 a.m. Nineteen-year-old Charles James Rowland told authorities he was westbound when he lost control of the 1997 Oldsmobile Aurora. Rowland was unable to regain control, according to him, because of a traction control system, and the vehicle entered the north ditch, struck an electrical power pole and rolled, coming to rest on the wheels in a corn field. Rowland was not transported for treatment of the injuries. The vehicle was totaled and Rowland was cited for failure to maintain control.
