Local Processing Plant Gives Manning Businesses And Residents A Boost To Their Chamber Bucks

A portion of a $10,000 COVID-19 relief package from a local soybean processing and refining facility will be going to support Manning businesses. Ag Processing, Inc., known as AGP, is supporting 10 communities where their plants are located in Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska and South Dakota. “The pandemic has negatively impacted families and communities across America this year and we wanted to support and encourage the many different volunteer organizations who are responding to local needs and providing relief in the communities in which we operate,” says AGP CEO, Keith Spackler. “AGP’s contributions to these community-based organizations will support those important efforts.” The Manning Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce they will be using the funds to provide a bonus to local shoppers. Beginning Monday, Aug. 10, when residents purchase $20 in Chamber Bucks, another $15 will be added from AGP. Each family is limited to purchasing $100 in Chamber Bucks for a total value of $175, which can be used for doctor and dental visits, groceries, gas, utility bills, pet grooming and much more. “The receipt of this donation from AGP could not come at a better time as parents get children ready to return to school,” says Chamber President, Kirk Huehn. “As the virus continues to affect residents of the Manning community, families can certainly use this help. We are extremely grateful to AGP for their generosity.” Those wishing to purchase Chamber Bucks can do so at Templeton Savings Bank in Manning or at their drive through.
