U.S. Senator Joni Ernst was back in the listening area on Tuesday as she travels the state, continuing her 99-county tour. First thing in the morning, she made a stop at Puck Enterprises of Manning and discussed the ways COVID-19 has impacted their business and other small businesses in the region. She held an informal discussion with team members about her continuing work to support small business and to roll back or eliminate any red tape that may be associated with access to aid. Later in the day she did a tour of the downtown business district in Denison. She heard from many of those business owners about how the Paycheck Protection Program has come into play and been an invaluable economic bridge in helping them keep their businesses operational. Again, Ernst stressed the work she and her colleagues are doing to ensure that her home state’s small businesses receive additional support as the pandemic continues to strain resources.
