No injuries were reported as Carroll Police Officers assisted at two accidents over the past weekend. The first call came in at approximately 2:10 p.m. on Friday of a two-vehicle incident at Main and 7th Streets. Thirty-two-year-old Rebecca Sibbel of Carroll was southbound on Main in a 2020 Ford Explorer. Forty-seven-year-old Sheryl Vonnahme, also of Carroll, was northbound on Main in a 2015 Jeep Wrangler, turning left onto 7th. Sibbel struck the passenger side of the Vonnahme Jeep, causing functional damage to both. Vonnahme was cited for failure to yield on a left turn. The second accident occurred at approximately 11:57 a.m. on Sunday at Main and 18th Streets. Twenty-seven-year-old Chance Cleveland of Carroll was northbound on Main in a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee and had stopped for the posted sign at the intersection before proceeding. Twenty-seven-year-old Charles Wise of Carroll was eastbound on 18th Street in a 2019 Chevrolet Colorado and failed to stop at the intersection. He struck the Cleveland vehicle on the driver’s side, causing functional damage to both. Wise was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.
