Over this past weekend Carroll County became one of the top five counties with the highest 14-day COVID-19 positivity rates. As of 6:30 a.m. this (Monday) morning, there are a total of 298 positive cases, which puts the county at 15 percent. Of those, 179 are considered recovered and Carroll County remains at two coronavirus-related deaths. In the region, there is only one other county that is at or above 15 percent positivity over the past two weeks and that is Crawford County at 17.2 percent. They have a recorded 789 positive cases with 696 recovered and three deaths. For the remainder of the area: Guthrie is at 7.5 percent with 157 positives, 121 recovered and five deaths; Sac is at 5 percent with 101 positives and 77 recovered; Calhoun is reporting a 9.4 percent positivity rate with 101 cases, 75 of which are recovered, and two deaths; Greene County reports the lowest percentage in the region at 1.6 percent with 45 positive cases, 38 of which are recovered; and Audubon is at 7.2 percent with 35 positive cases, 24 recovered and one death.
