A $10,000 Union Pacific (UP) Foundation grant will be used for updates at the Carroll Depot. On Wednesday, the Carroll Chamber of Commerce announced the award designation for use in the community spaces of Carroll Depot Centre on foundation stabilization and landscaping. “Union Pacific has a long-standing commitment to improve the quality of life in the communities we serve and where our employees live and work,” says UP Foundation President, Scott Moore. “Our vision is that Union Pacific employees will take pride in their company’s civic leadership and that our customers and shareholders will appreciate and recognize Union Pacific as an excellent corporate citizen.” The grant application was prepared by Region XII Council of Governments staff. The projects specified for the $10,000 include the removal and replacement of 26 feet of a stone base along the south side of the building and masonry work.
