A Storm Lake man faces a felony burglary charge following a reported domestic disturbance Wednesday evening. The Storm Lake Police Department was dispatched at approximately 7:20 p.m. to the 1800 block of West 5th Street. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the victim, who told them a man, identified as 27-year-old Darius Daniels had assaulted them about an hour earlier. Following the initial altercation, Daniels allegedly forced his way into an apartment, assaulted a male occupant and then fled the scene. Authorities located Daniels in the 1700 block of East Milwaukee Avenue at approximately 8 p.m. and took him into custody without incident. He was booked into the Buena Vista County jail on charges of second-degree burglary, a class C felony, and domestic abuse assault, a simple misdemeanor.
