Carroll Girls Swim Team Loses Tight Meet At Lewis Central While Currier Qualifies for State

Jenna Currier started her season by qualifying for the State Meet in Marshalltown in the 100 Freestyle with a time of 54.20.  The veteran Tiger team swam well and the younger Tigers did a nice job in their first varsity meet.

Carroll took 1^st place in the 200 Medley Relay and the 200 Free Relay. Jenna Currier, Emma Myers, Melea Axman and Hailey Burns teamed up in the Medley and Currier, Amelia Holt, Myers and Axman swam the Free Relay. Carroll also did well in the individual events with Emma Myers winning the 200 IM, Melea Axman and Hailey Burns going 1^st and 3^rd in the 50 Free, Axman won the 100 Fly with Amelia Holt in 3^rd. Currier with that state qualifying time won the 100 Free.  Sophia Polking took 3^rd in the 500 Free, Currier was 2^nd in the 100 Back and Emma Myers won the 100 Breast with Madison Mohr in 3^rd place.
