Kuemper and Audubon At West Central Valley
Girls Results
It was a good day for both local schools as Audubon finished 2nd and Kuemper was 3rd. The Wheelers had 8 runners and finished with 82 points while Kuemper ran 6 girls and finished with 100 points.
Audubon had three runners in the top 6 and Kuemper finished with one in the top 5 and three in the top 25. Grace Slater is off to an outstanding start to the season and finished 1st in 21:16. She has finished top 5 in both meets this season. Hannah Thygesen has also been extremely strong this season and brought home another top 5 finish with a 3rd place on Thursday. Katelyn Nielsen was just outside the top 5, taking home 6th place. Marie Dea led Kuemper as the freshman took 5th place. Keziah Janssen nearly made the top 15 as she finished 16th. Siena Argarin was 22nd for Kuemper.

Boys Results
Kuemper brought home a championship with three runners in the top 10 and four in the top 15. Audubon ran two runners and didn’t have a team score. The Knights edged past Nodaway Valley by two points. The Knights finished with 52 points while Nodway Valley had 54. The Wolverines Toby Bower won the event and his teammates Ben Breheny were 2nd and Doug Berg took 4th. Kuemper used its depth to have better finishes after the top finishers for each squad.
Micheal Pottebaum and Kaleb Booth continue their strong start to the season and Jacob Greving impressed again as a freshman. Pottebaum took 3rd with Booth running cross country for the first time took 7th. Greving was also in the top with a 9th place finish. Ely Deist led Audubon finishing in 73rd.
