The Top Rail Saddle Club in Lake City had so much fun with their modified rodeo during the annual Western Days that they are planning another free event. Treasurer, Nancy Janssen, says they will be bringing back Ranch Rodeo this Sunday, Sept. 6. Some of the most popular events will return, including trailer races.
They will have ladies’ barrel racing and team roping with the rodeo starting at 3 p.m. Sunday on their grounds in Lake City. Janssen says the branding competition between team members of four each is a sight to see.
Janssen adds the charter of their club is to help people enjoy horses. This is just one of the ways they can give those unable to own a horse the opportunity to admire them and watch them at work. Social distancing is encouraged and masks are recommended, but not required. Concessions will be available.
