Carroll Supervisors Will Meet Wednesday At 9 A.M.

The Carroll County Board of Supervisors has moved the date of their regular meeting not only due to the Labor Day holiday, but also to account for Tuesday’s special elections. Their next meeting will take place at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9 and will be livestreamed on their YouTube channel, a link to which is available below. Items on the agenda include updates on the Iowa Statewide Interoperable Communication System (ISICS) project, a review for approval of utility permits and an agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation. The board will discuss the Leadership Iowa Program prior to a 10 a.m. public hearing for the ISICS emergency radio system loan as they have the opportunity to save on interest charges with the recent reduction in rates. Upon the closing of that public hearing, the board will be asked to vote on a resolution entering into a refunding agreement. Questions and comments on agenda items can be submitted prior to Wednesday’s meeting by emailing them to supervisors@carrollcountyiowa.org. For those wishing to ask questions or make comments on agenda items during the meeting, they must create a YouTube account and subscribe to the county’s channel.
