Following an unusual summer, the Lake View Community Club wrapped up its 10th season of the Stone Pier Summer Concert Series over the weekend. This year posed some very unique challenges, but City Administrator, Scott Peterson, says he and the other organizers consider the 2020 season a huge success.
The season’s last concert was held Sunday, Sept. 6 in Speaker Park and featured the Tank Anthony Band with Ducharme-Jones. The Stone Pier Summer Concert Series often draws large crowds, and Peterson thanks attendees for their patience and diligence with sticking with social distancing recommendations while at the shows. As of Tuesday, he says they are not aware of any COVID-19 cases or exposures as a result of the concerts.
The Lake View Community Club had hoped to make its 10th season of the Stone Pier Summer Concert Series something special. Unfortunately, the pandemic forced them to make changes to their scheduled performances and accompanying activities. Peterson says they are hoping to bring some of those extra events back for next year’s lineup.
The Stone Pier Concert Series is made possible through generous support from area businesses and residents. For more information, visit www.stonepierconcertseries.com.
