Glidden Ralston picked up an important conference win on Thursday. The Wildcats held on and won a tight 2nd set. They got more aggressive swinging and picked up a good number of kills. The win propelled them to a win in set 3. The Bulldogs were forced to take their 2nd timeout in set 3 while being down 12-3. The Wildcats built a 8-4 lead in set 5 and held on for the win. Glidden Ralston moves to 2-2 overall while Boyer Valley drops to 3-3.

Gretchen Wallace had another big match with 21 kills along with 4 blocks and 3 aces. Morgan and Vanessa Koehler finished with 8 kills and 7 kills respectively. Vanessa had 3 blocks and Morgan added 2 blocks. Kim Daily kept feeding her hitters and had 35 assists. Haley Onken tied Wallace with 4 blocks.

Audubon hung tough in all 3 sets against a Riverside club that improved to 7-3 with the win. The Wheelers finished with 18 kills on 13 assists and had 11 aces. The loss drops them to 0-5 on the season as they get ready to host Grand View Christian on Monday night.

Mattie Nielsen may have had her best night with 19 digs which was nearly the total for the rest of the team combined. Nielsen added 4 kills and 3 aces. Jaci Christensen had a team high 5 kills while Elizabeth Zaiger added 4 kills and a team high 6 aces. Aleah Hermansen had 12 assists to go with 7 digs.

East Sac controlled sets one and two before pulling out a tougher 3rd set as they pick up their 10th win of the season against no losses. The picked up 37 kills in the 3 sets with 26 assists. The loss drops West Bend Mallard to 4-2. Serving continues to be a strength for this Raider team with 15 aces. East Sac had seven different players pick up a dig.

Bailey Wollesen and Bree Boeckman each had 10 kills, Boeckman added 7 aces. Maty Quirk had a team high 14 assists, 7 kills and 5 aces. Kayla Meyer had another solid night with 12 assists, 3 kills and 4 digs. Olivia Wernimont added 5 kills and Laryn Sharp finished with 3 aces.

The Raiders head to Rockwell City for the South Central Calhoun Tournament on Saturday.

IKM-Manning dropped to 0-3 on the season but showed some good growth. After a tough loss in the first set they played well and lead each of the last two sets late before those leads slipped away. A young team still trying to find a way to win and gain confidence late.

Bre Muhlbauer led the team with 6 kills while Sierra Ferry, Neveah Boland and Kylie Powers all finished with 4. Amber Halbur had a team high 11 assists and teamed with Taylor Ferneding for 18 with Ferneding with 7. Halbur had a team high 4 aces. Lauren Danner had her best night in the back row with 18 digs and Boland finished with 17 digs.

IKM-Manning heads to the Griswold tournament on Saturday.

Paton Churdan got off to a good start in their home opener while Ar-We-Va falls to a 1A team for the firs time this season. Paton Churdan did a nice job getting Danielle Hoyle into the front row and benefited from some mistakes by Ar-We-Va. The win moves Paton Churdan to 1-1 on the season while Ar-We-Va drops to 2-3 overall.

Danielle Hoyle had a big night with 25 kills to go with 24 digs and 3 aces. Tessa Steimel added 8 kills and 9 digs. Paton Churdan played well in the back row with 5 players in double digits in digs. Bailey Anderson had 10, Chloe Berns 12, Carmyn Paup 22 and Karissa Stephenson added 23. Paup and Stephenson each had 4 kills.

Maggie Ragaller had her best night of the season with 17 assists to go with 10 digs ad 5 kills. Hannah Kraus added a team high 14 digs. Jadeyn Smith led Ar-We-Va with 9 kills to go with 7 digs and 3 blocks. Jamie Hausman also had her best statistical night with 7 kills and 11 digs. Sara Schurke added 14 assists and 2 aces.

Paton Churdan goes on on the road Monday at Orient Macksburg while Ar-We-Va is home Monday to MVAO-COU.

Alexa Culbertson led the Crusaders with 8 kills. Chloe Parkis finished with 16 digs and Cassidy Baker added 13 assists. The Crusaders had 13 aces and only missed 4 serves.
