The Jefferson Police Department is investigating a break-in at a local pharmacy. An officer responded to an alarm activation at Medicap Pharmacy in the 400 block of North Elm Street at approximately 2:27 a.m. Wednesday morning. Upon arrival, he found the drive-thru window had been broken. The initial investigation included review of video surveillance footage, which showed a male subject entering through the broken window and stealing prescription medications. The pharmacy is working to determine exactly what types and how much of the medication is missing.
