A Denison woman has died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Saturday. The Iowa State Patrol reports they responded to Highway 39 at approximately 9:26 p.m. Upon arrival, they learned that 59-year-old Craig Promes of Denison was northbound on a 2020 Can-Am Spyder with 52-year-old Julie Promes as a passenger on board. For unknown reasons, the Spyder made a sharp turn and Julie Promes fell off the motorcycle. She sustained fatal injuries in the accident and was transported to Crawford County Memorial Hospital by Crawford County Emergency Medical Services, where she was later pronounced dead. The accident remains under investigation. The Denison Police Department and Crawford County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
