The Carroll Police Department responded to a two-vehicle property-damage accident Saturday afternoon. The incident was reported at 12:59 p.m., occurring at the intersection of Clark Street and U.S. Highway 30. Sixty-two-year-old Joann Patzner of Carroll was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox and was stopped in the northbound lane of Clark Street for a red light. She was followed by a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, driven by 19-year-old Bryce Block of Coon Rapids, who failed to stop in time to avoid a collision and rear-ended the Patzner vehicle. No injuries were reported and both vehicles sustained functional damage. Block was cited for failure to maintain control.
