Jefferson Police Officers, Greene and Carroll County deputies and two drones searched for a suspect Tuesday night to no avail. The Jefferson Police Department reports an officer recognized the driver of a vehicle as a Jefferson resident wanted on outstanding warrants. He attempted to perform a traffic stop in the 700 block of West Sunset Road at approximately 11:30 p.m., but the male driver pulled into a private residence and fled on foot. Officers and Greene County deputies searched a heavily wooded area along the Raccoon River and deployed a drone with infrared capabilities in an attempt to identify a heat signature. Carroll County deputies brought in a second drone, but authorities were unable to locate the suspect.
