The City of Glidden has issued an advisory for all residents notifying them water services will be shut off to homes and businesses in town on Friday morning. Attempts to fix a water main leak on Wednesday were unsuccessful, and a temporary disruption will be required to make full repairs to the damaged section. Water services will be turned off in Glidden beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 25 and are expected to be turned back on by Friday evening. A boil order will go into effect once service has been restored. Residents should boil all water prior to consumption, including, brushing teeth, making ice and washing dishes. Carroll Broadcasting will notify residents when city officials announce the boil order has been lifted.
