The City of Glidden is advising residents near the center of town that low to no water pressure is possible today (Wednesday) due to a leak in one of the city’s mains. Homes on the block between 4th and 5th Streets and Idaho and Nevada Streets may notice a disruption to their regular service. In the event service stops completely, residents in the affected area should boil their water before consumption until noon on Saturday, Sept. 26 due to the potential for bacterial contamination. This includes water used for brushing teeth, making ice cubes and doing dishes. City officials have notified residents who could be impacted by service interruptions with written notices on their front doors.
