IKM-Manning At Audubon Invitational

Boys Results  

Quentin Dreyer of IKM-Manning nearly had a championship on Thursday as he battled with Toby Bower of Nodaway Valley the entire race and led part of the middle part of the race. Dreyer made a kick with around a half mile left in the race but Bower was able to hold him off and Dreyer finished in 2^nd place with a time of 17:46.4. The goal for the Wolves was to contend for the team title and to narrow the gap with their runners. They took 3^rd as a team two points behind Missouri Valley but did a nice job of running in a bunch. Conner Keller was able to finish 9^th and Lane Sams and Caden Keller also finished in the top 16.

Jackson Deist is returning from an injury for Audubon and wanted to run around the middle of the pack and work on getting back into shape. He felt he ran a solid race and was happy with the way things played out for him and he kept the pace he wanted most of the race and was able to pass several runners while going uphill. Deist finished 22^nd for the Wheelers.

Girls Results

Grace Slater for Audubon hung around the top 4 all race and moved between 2^nd and 3^rd for a good portion of the race as she finished 3^rd. Hannah Thygesen started in the top 5 but was battling injuries and had to pull out of the race or may have had a top 5 finish for the Wheelers. Slater wanted to get out and run with the front group and did that very well. She was able to make some headway on the uphill portions but says she felt her best on the downhill. She did struggle some with the hard surface and some divots and stumbled a couple of times. Katelyn Nielsen brought home a 16^th place finish for the Wheelers.

Morgan Hanson ran her 1^st race due to injuries and was solid staying in the top 10 the entire race before holding off a runner on the straight away to the finish line for a 9^th place finish. Hanson was happy with how she ran and felt she was able to hold her pace well. Julianna Stribe gave the Wolves another top 15 place finishing in 14^th.

Boys Results

Kuemper had a very solid day with three runners in the top 20 and Michael Pottebaum again finishing in the top 5. Pottebaum paced a good Knight performance with a 4^th place finish. Kaleb Booth continues to impress during his first year in cross country and finished 17^th with Jacob Greving taking 19^th.

Girls Results

The Knights finished 7^th as a team and were just 5 points from a 6^th place finish. Marie Dea continues her strong season with a 9^th place finish. She has several top 10 and top 15 finishes this season. Keziah Janssen also ran well and took 24^th. Results for runners placing after 44^th were incorrect and I will try to update the other runners once the correct results are reported.

East Sac and South Central Calhoun At MVAO-COU

Girls Results

South Central Calhoun finished in 4^th and East Sac took 7^th place. The Raiders Emma Schroeder was the leading individual finishing in 5^th place in 22:00.87. Alayna Murley continues to lead South Central Calhoun as she just missed the top 10 bringing home 11^th place. Murley and Alexia Nelson have given the Titans a solid 1-2 punch this season as Nelson finished 19^th just a couple spots ahead of Jade Ridgely who finished 23^rd.  Aimee Vaca gave the Raiders another runner in the top 25 finishing 25^th.

Tyler Lightner led South Central Calhoun in 14^th place followed by Nathan Burley in 20^th and Eli Wheelock in 27^th. The Raiders were paced by Parker Engel in 24^th and Wyatt Thorpe in 38^th place.
