Only Functional Damages Reported In Two-Vehicle Accident In Carroll Monday Morning

No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident in Carroll late Monday morning. The Carroll Police Department was dispatched at approximately 10:43 a.m. to the intersection of U.S. Highway 30 and Crawford Street. According to authorities, a 2015 Dodge Durango, driven by 53-year-old Sheri Augustus of Carroll, was traveling eastbound on 30 in the inside lane and had stopped for traffic. At the same time, a 2015 Ford Escape, driven by 84-year-old William Hanks of Scranton, was also traveling eastbound in the same lane. Hanks changed lanes to avoid the stopped SUV and sideswiped the Augustus vehicle. Hanks did not stop after the accident and proceeded eastbound on Highway 30 until he was pulled over by law enforcement. Hanks was cited for an improper lane change.
