Kuemper, SCC, IKM-Manning, Audubon and CRB Cross Country Competed on Thursday

Kuemper At Perry Invite

It was a tough field for both the boys and girls. The Kuemper boys took 6^th place and trailed Ballard by just 6 points. The Knights finished with 148 points to Ballard 142. Michael Pottebaum was able to grab another top 10 finish coming in 10^th. Jacob Greving and Kaleb Booth gave Kuemper two more runners in the top 30 with Greving 26^th and Booth 28^th.

Kuemper Girls only ran 3 runners on Thursday and didn’t have a team score. Their top runner on the season Marie Dae didn’t run. Callie Ferneding led the way as the girls ran in a group. She finished 75^th with Alexandria Klein 76^th and Siena Argarin 77^th.

South Central Calhoun At IKM-Manning Invite

IKM-Manning added a home meet to their schedule last week and had a very good overall day and meet. The Wolves took 1^st place in the boys while the girls had two runners in the top 5 and only ran 3 girls. South Central Calhoun also had a solid day with the girls taking 2^nd place and the boys 3^rd place.

The IKM-Manning boys had four runners finish in the top 10 with Quentin Dreyer as the overall champion. Connor Keller was 3^rd and Caden Keller took home 5^th place to help the Wolves secure the team title. Lane Sams was the other top 10 runner taking 9^th while Tanner Spoelstra took 14^th. South Central Calhoun was led by Justin Hanks in 11^th place. Tyler Lightner and Nathan Burley gave them two more runners in the top 20 in 17^th and 19^th respectively.

If you have following these two girls teams lately you could see Thursday’s results coming. Alexia Nelson of South Central Calhoun had a great run Tuesday at Denison and followed it up with another terrific run taking 3^rd on Thursday. Julianna Stribe has been getting better every race for IKM-Manning and had her best finish of the season taking 4^th place just ahead of her teammate Morgan Hanson who finished 5^th. Alayna Murley of South Central Calhoun continues to rack up top 10 finishes and took 7^th. Brielle Korleski gave the Titans another runner in the top 15 as she finished 13^th. Three other local girls were also in the top 20 with Claire Riat of South Central Calhoun 18^th, her teammate Everlyn Kramer was 19^th and Kaitlyn Spoelstra of IKM-Manning was 20^th.
