A Sac County Sheriff’s Office deputy sustained minor injuries in an accident that occurred during the pursuit of a suspect Monday night. Sheriff, Ken McClure, reports that at approximately 11 p.m. a deputy was chasing a 2008 Dodge Caliber, driven by 23-year-old Andrew Daryl Adams of Wall Lake, on county road D-59 south of Lake View. As they approached the intersection with county road M-68, another Sac County Sheriff’s Office vehicle, driven by deputy Zach Mixer, which was southbound, collided with the Adams vehicle. Both cars came to rest in the south ditch. Mixer and Adams were transported to Loring Hospital in Sac City by Sac County Emergency Medical Services with non-life-threatening injuries. The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the incident. The Lake View Police, Fire and Rescue Departments and the Sac City Police Department assisted at the scene.
