It takes the cooperative work of many to remain a progressive and vital community, and the City of Carroll is looking for residents interested in participating in this process. They are seeking applications for various committees, commissions and boards, giving the citizens an opportunity to engage with others in civic service. Positions routinely become available on: the Building Code Board of Appeals; the Library Board of Trustees; the Airport Commission; the Board of Adjustment; the Planning and Zoning Commission; the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Advisory Board; the Civil Service Commission; and the Historical Preservation Commission. Applications are available through the link included below or by calling City Hall at 792-1000. All appointees are required to reside within the Carroll city limits. Appointments will be made by the Mayor or city council and may be done on the basis of gender to meet State of Iowa Code. Members are expected to attend all meetings and training sessions, which generally take place after normal working hours.
