A Carroll woman charged for attempting to hide a wanted fugitive in her apartment earlier this year has been sentenced in District Court for Carroll County. According to court records, 23-year-old Passion Monique Faint was arrested on Feb. 11 after the Carroll Police Department learned she had been harboring 23-year-old Deamontae Hunter at her residence in the 500 block of East 18th Street. Hunter was wanted at the time by authorities in Illinois on outstanding warrants from the Illinois State Police and Illinois Department of Corrections. Faint originally faced one count of accessory after the fact, an aggravated misdemeanor, but the charge was reduced to a simple misdemeanor as part of a plea agreement. She was ordered to serve 30 days in the Carroll County jail with all but two days suspended and credit for time served. Faint is also required to pay a $65 fine, surcharges, court costs and jail and attorney fees.
