Officials in Lake View have awarded a contract to Region XII Council of Government to assist the city council with updating the community’s comprehensive plan. Administrator, Scott Peterson says this document serves as the long-term roadmap for city leaders and it has been nearly a decade since it was last revised.
Their bid of $10,000 was accepted by the city council during their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday night. Region XII specializes in this kind of work for cities and towns in the area. Peterson explains what their report will entail.
He says many of the items identified in that report will be familiar to city officials and residents, but new priorities will also be added.
Peterson expects Lake View will receive Region XII’s full report and recommendations in fall 2021.
