Lake View city officials have awarded a $5,000 grant to a local veterinary clinic through the community’s Business Improvement grant program. According to Administrator, Scott Peterson, the council unanimously approved the application from Lake View Veterinary Services during their meeting earlier this week. He says Dr. Todd Bettin and his staff will be using the grant to partially fund renovations that will expand on the level of care they are able to offer.
Peterson adds Lake View Veterinary Services is also completing some exterior work with a new entryway, signage and more. The grant program is now in its second year, and Peterson says city leaders are thrilled with the success it has seen so far.
The City of Lake View sets aside $25,000 each fiscal year for this program, and Peterson says they still have funds remaining in this cycle for businesses interested in applying.
