
The Sac County Sheriff’s Office reports two men escaped from the Sac County jail this (Friday) afternoon and are considered a danger to the public. According to Sheriff, Ken McClure, the two men, identified as 25-year-old Shawn Patrick Freier and 35-year-old Joseph Sly, overpowered a jailer at approximately 4:25 p.m. and escaped from custody. The men were last scene running south from the courthouse. McClure encourages anybody who sees either of these individuals to call 911 immediately. Again, these men are considered dangerous and should not be approached. Both men have a history of violence, including domestic abuse assault, second-degree sexual abuse and lascivious acts with a child.
