A Kelley man originally charged in Carroll County District Court for alleged drug trafficking has reached a plea agreement with prosecutors. According to court records, 27-year-old Shakiel Allynn Klampe, who faced one count of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, a class D felony, filed his written plea last week to the reduced charge of possession of a controlled substance—marijuana, a serious misdemeanor. Klampe was arrested by the Carroll Police Department on Feb. 12 in the 1000 block of Simon Avenue after authorities located several individuals in the basement of a residence. Authorities searched a small black bag found near the group, which was later determined to belong to Klampe, and located the narcotics. He was sentenced on Monday to 60 days in the Carroll County jail with all but two days suspended and credit for time served. Klampe was also placed on probation for one year and ordered to pay over $1,500 in fines, surcharges court costs and attorney fees.
