Carroll PD Responds To Reports Of A Theft, Burglary And An Altercation With The Threat Of A Gun Wednesday

Carroll Police officers responded to three calls last (Wednesday) night that had several local residents with scanners concerned about the potential of more criminal activity on 18th Street. The first call was the report of a theft in the 600 block of E. 18th Street at approximately 7:47 p.m. Police Chief, Brad Burke, says a local cab driver called authorities and reported his cash box had been stolen by a subject they had dropped off in that area. The first call on the second incident came in at approximately 8:13 p.m. from the 500 block of E. 18th Street. A female who had just been released from jail found her apartment was burglarized. Another call was made to the Carroll Police Department about a half hour later of a verbal altercation with the threat of a gun as the woman confronted someone she suspected played a role in the burglary. Officers did not locate any weapons. All incidents are currently under investigation.
