Grand Junction Woman Cited Thursday In Jefferson After Striking Two Stationary Objects

No injuries were reported after a driver collided with two stationary objects last Thursday evening in Jefferson. The Jefferson Police Department responded to the 100 block of North Wilson Ave. at approximately 5:25 p.m. Their initial investigation revealed a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix, driven by Heather Reiling of Grand Junction, had left the roadway and collided with a brick corner post near the sidewalk. The Reiling sedan then continued northbound and collided with a parked vehicle owned by Dale Higgins, also of Grand Junction. Approximately $2,500 in damages were reported to the Higgins vehicle and $800 to the Pontiac. Reiling was cited for failure to maintain control.
