Arraignment Hearing For Carroll Woman Involved In Disputes Involving Guns Scheduled For Monday

The arraignment hearing for a Carroll woman involved in several recent incidents involving firearms at Fairview Village Apartments is scheduled for next week. According to trial information filed Monday in District Court, 30-year-old Kamille Elise Garnett faces six counts, including: intimidation with a dangerous weapon, a class C felony; going armed with intent and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, class D felonies; and assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, child endangerment, and intent to deliver alprazolam while in possession of a firearm, all aggravated misdemeanors. Garnett’s arraignment hearing is slated for Monday, Nov. 2. These charges stem from an investigation into an altercation on Oct. 5 in which Garnett and 27-year-old Glennisha Janancy Myers had allegedly wielded pistols during a dispute. Myers also faces charges related to the incident. Both women face additional charges in connection to another confrontation just before midnight Oct. 13 in which a 31-year-old Ames man sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to the lower extremities. Not including pending charges, Garnett faces over 25 years in prison and more than $43,000 in fines if found guilty on all counts.
