Carroll Woman Facing Drug And Weapons Charges Pleads Not Guilty In Carroll County District Court

A Carroll woman accused of drug and weapon violations in District Court for Carroll County filed written not guilty pleas Monday to the half-dozen counts levied against her. Court records show 30-year-old Kamille Elise Garnett is charged with one count of intimidation with a dangerous weapon, a class C felony, going armed with intent and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, class D felonies, and assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, child endangerment and possession of alprazolam with intent to deliver, aggravated misdemeanors. The charges stem from an investigation by the Carroll Police Department following an Oct. 5 dispute involving firearms at the Fairview Village Apartments in Carroll. Authorities executed search warrants at Garnett’s residence and located approximately 100 grams of marijuana, three weapons and nearly 500 alprazolam pills, more commonly known as Xanax. She is scheduled to go before a jury on Jan. 12, 2021 with a pretrial conference slated for Dec. 14. Garnett remains in custody at the Carroll County jail on a $100,000 bond with a bond review hearing set for Nov. 30. Garnett faces a maximum sentence of over 25 years in prison and $43,000 in fines if found guilty of the charges.
