Republicans, Williams And Best, Take Their Races

We saw a wave of red across much of the region Tuesday night. Two of the most highly visible state races in the listening area were for Iowa Senate District 6 and Iowa House District 12.  Republican Senate District 6 candidate, Craig Williams of Manning faced off against Democrat, C. J. Petersen of Templeton. Williams has tallied a total of 18,835 votes to Petersen’s 8,367. There were three candidates on the ballot for the Iowa House District 12 seat. Incumbent Republican, Brian Best, racked up more than 75 percent of the vote at 11,680. Democratic challenger, Sam Muhr, had 3,270 votes and Libertarian, Blake Johannes, 438.
