Availa Bank of Carroll announced today (Thursday) they will be opening a new branch location in Denison on Dec. 1. “Availa is a longstanding Iowa Bank with roots dating back to 1870,” says President and CEO, Jeff Scharfenkamp. “We are excited about the opportunity to expand our footprint and serve the community of Denison.” Scharfenkamp adds they are looking forward to not only fostering new relationships, but to also providing competitive products and outstanding customer service that integrates social distancing options. Current Availa Bank Vice-President and Loan Officer, Wesley Nordquist, has been with Availa for six years at both the Council Bluffs and Carroll branches. He will be relocating from the Carroll office to the Denison location. “Availa Bank is a community bank with local decision-makers,” Nordquist says. “I am excited to be in Denison and look forward to building working relationships with new customers and with the Denison community.” Nordquist, his wife, Brooke Wehle-Nordquist, and their son, William, recently moved to Denison.
